Once again, I am enjoying New York Fashion Week from the comfort of my laptop. I’m just not a big fan of chaotic crowds, and the few times I did attend fashion week events in the past, it wasn’t what I would call fun. Ask any big-time magazine editor and they will tell you that fashion week is no longer even about the clothes. It’s about the celebrities and the Instagrammers. The actual fashion itself is getting lost in the spectacle.
But thanks to New York Fashion Week: THE SHOWS and Vogue Runway, everyone gets a front row seat to fashion week. This year, instead of doing a daily review of all the shows, I decided to do something a little different. I’ve created two Pinterest Boards. One will be an ongoing update of all my favorite looks, and the other will be a humorous glimpse into some of the most outlandish trends that I just don’t think I’d ever be able to pull off.
Check this page and Pinterest throughout the next week for all the latest updates. And take some time to watch a few of your favorite designers’ shows from the comfort of your own home. You could even host a fashion week party and invite some girlfriends over for cocktails and couture. Just remember though, stay focused on the clothes…not the party.
