If there is one thing I learned from watching the Spring fashion shows, it’s that 2017 is the year of the décolleté!
Super-low cut frocks and tops popped up in almost every designer’s collection, which means it’s time to forgo the bra, order yourself a full stock of double-sided stylist tape, and summon enough confidence to go (somewhat) bare-chested.
I’ll admit that I really don’t pay that much attention to my chest area when it comes to my beauty routine. And it shows. With super dry skin due to a lack of moisturizer as well as freckles and sunspots from forgetting to put sunscreen on my chest when I wear a low cut dress or blouse. And (as you can see in the first photo below) I was starting to get horizontal wrinkles and crepiness at the top of my chest right underneath my clavicle.
So when the lovely folks from SiO (which stands for Skin Innovation Overnight) reached out to see if I wanted to try their new “Overnight Décolleté Wrinkle Smoother” SkinPad, I was thrilled!
The SiO SkinPad is designed to be worn overnight and can be re-used up to 15 times. Each package comes with two pads so you can do an entire month’s worth of treatment, which is exactly what I did. I will admit that it felt pretty weird the first time I placed the silicone pad on my chest (and I got even weirder looks from the manfriend.) But it’s actually quite comfortable and once it was on, I kind of forgot about it.

The results? I actually noticed them after the first night I wore the SkinPad. My skin was definitely softer and smoother. The more I used the pad, the more I started to notice the wrinkles softening. The combination of the pre-treatment Décolleté Cleansing Discs and the post-treatment Décolleté Serum seemed to act as a one-two punch for exfoliating and fading the sun damage and freckles. The whole treatment worked so well that now I’m thinking of using it on my neck because – as you can see – I’m starting to get those pesky little horizontal lines there too. (Aging sucks, but it sure as hell beats the alternative.)
Bottom line: If you’re planning on braving the low-cut trend, consider the SiO Skin Pad treatment as your pre-plunge-prep. Just don’t forget the double-sided tape. Unless you’re ready to free the nipple!
