Looking for an instant makeover? Well, the next time you happen to be in your local drugstore, you might want to pick up these three things. These are beauty items I use on a regular basis that seem to have the most impact on my overall look.
#1. Crest 3D Whitestrips
People always ask me how I get my teeth so white and I always tell them about Crest 3D Whitestrips. These little suckers WORK!
There are several different versions you can use, but I prefer the one-hour express strips. I actually leave them on overnight though…and the results are outstanding. (If you have sensitive teeth, you’ll want to use the Crest 3D White Gentle Routine.)
As a lover of red wine, I use the Crest 3D Whitestrips monthly. I also use the toothpaste and the mouthwash on a daily basis. And my teeth have never been whiter!
#2. Sally Hansen Airbrush Leg Makeup
I’ve had cellulite since I was sixteen years old. No matter how many squats and lunges I do, it never gets any better. The only thing I’ve found that actually helps hide those annoying little dimples is a combination of self-tanning and Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs.
This stuff is a staple of Hollywood stylists and makeup artists. If you see a celebrity on the red carpet in a short skirt, you better believe those legs are covered in Sally Hansen leg makeup.
The formula is water-proof and it lasts! I like to mix it with my favorite scented body lotion. The cellulite seems to disappear and my legs (and my NY Yankees tattoo!) look fabulous.
#3. Ardell Individual Lashes
So the flower crown in the photo on the left is an animated filter from Snapchat (follow me! @stylaphile), but those lashes are all ARDELL!
I used to get my lashes done at a place in Manhattan called Wink. But lately, I’ve taken to doing them myself, simply because I like having control over the overall look. Sometimes I want a thicker, more dramatic look and sometimes I want to go more natural.
Even a famous reality star’s (let’s just say her name starts with a K) makeup artist admits to using Ardell individual eyelashes. I alternate medium and short lashes and then tight-line my eyes with black eyeliner.
So now that you know a few of my top beauty secrets, I’d love to hear about some of yours. (And I’m sure Stylaphile readers would love to as well!) Please tell us about your favorite drug-store beauty products below in the comments section.
