5 New Nail Polish Collections to Try Now

It’s that time of the year where we are “out with the old” and ringing in the new. As you make your plans for New Year’s Eve or even your resolutions for 2016, plan on trying some fabulous new nail colors from these five recently released (and mostly limited edition) beauty collaborations.

#1. Aimee Song for Formula X #ColorCurators

If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know who Aimee Song is, stop what you’re doing right now and  check out SongOfStyle. Not only does she have amazing personal style, but if you follow her on Snapchat, you’ll find out that she is also just an amazing person period. She’s shared very personal stories of her experience being bullied and she relates to her readers in an almost Oprah’esque way. Quite simply, I adore her. So I’m happy to promote her new line of pretty pale colors for Formula X.

Check out A Girl’s Best Friend – the perfect pale shade of pink; Mintfluencer – a pistachio green reminiscent of Aimee’s numerous Instagrams of picture-perfect ice-cream cones; and Nude For You, a classic go-with-anything neutral. The limited edition collection is available at Sephora.

#2. butter LONDON & Allure’s “Arm Candy”

Allure magazine recently teamed up with butter LONDON to create a collection of polishes called “Arm Candy.” The set includes ten limited-edition shades—six full-size polishes and four miniature bottles sold as a set. My personal favorites are Violet’s Revenge and Front Row, both of which are available in the miniature set. Get the collection now, because it’s only available until March!

#3. Static Nails Red Bottoms

As you probably already know, I’m a huge fan of the new pop-on reusable nails from StaticNails. They’re great for mix-and-matching and you really can re-use them and paint over them for endless looks. The latest creation from Static Nails will resonate well with anyone longing for a pair of Christian Louboutins. Check out Red Bottoms – a set of 20 matte black nails, 2 leopard prints and 2 gorgeous jet black Swarovski crystal nails, all with a fire red under color.

Get StaticNail’s Red Bottoms (and other styles) at Beauty.com.

#4. Essie’s Retro Shades

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Essie is going retro and bringing back a limited edition collection of six of the brand’s most popular discontinued shades. The polish bottles are capped off with gold stars in homage to the Stardust casino in Las Vegas, the city where founder Essie Weingarten debuted her collection in 1981. Get them while you can, and you might want to stock up this time!

If you are a fan of the hit TV show Empire and the force of nature that is Cookie Lyons, then you’ll love Kiara Sky, the nail polish brand used by the show’s manicurist Ericka Johnson. Kiara Sky is a professional line of gel polishes and nail lacquers that was created in 2014 by husband-and-wife duo Michael Duong and Ana Katrina Tan. The company just recently introduced the “Ombre Collection” of polishes that actually change color according your body temperature and mood. Seriously, a mood ring for each fingernail.

Check out the entire collection of 33 color-changing polishes here. And if you want to see how the process works, head over to Kiara Sky’s Instagram feed. You’ll be amazed!
