Manic Cure Monday – 11.19.12

Thankful for the Little Things

Today’s manicure was inspired by the fact that it’s Thanksgiving Week. I chose a bronzed pumpkin shade from butter LONDON (of course) called “Shag” and topped it off with my favorite bL glitter shade “West End Wonderland.” The ring is from New York &  Company and the gloves are from Neiman Marcus

While doing my manicure, I thought about how lucky I am to be able to write about something I love. I’m thankful that I have an education and can actually read and write this blog. (My best friend works for The Literacy Council of Alabama, and I am astounded by some of the statistics I see on their website.)

I’m thankful that after Hurricane Sandy, my house is still in tact and I was only without power for a mere four days. Some people still have no power. Some now have no place to live.

I’m thankful for the internet that connects me to so many people who share my love of fashion through this blog. Some people may think that things like fashion, beauty and nail polish are trivial, but I believe anything that connects you in a positive way to another human being and starts a conversation is very much worthwhile.

On that note, I’d like to wish all of my followers and everyone who reads this post a very Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for all of you.
