So, I’m feeling like one of the luckiest girls in the world, as I was recently chosen to be one of Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s “Style Ambassadors.” I have been reading Bazaar since I was about 11 years old. I remember being obsessed with all of the beautiful magazine covers in the 80’s with Cindy, Christy, Naomi and Linda. What teenage girl didn’t dream of being in Bazaar? Well, decades later, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to blog about my experiences as a Style Ambassador for this iconic magazine.
My first “assignment” was to sample another iconic brand: Christian Dior and the new “Dressy Nudes” makeup collection. I met with the lovely Dior makeup artist Violet at Macy’s Herald Square and she gave me the complete “nude” makeover.
Here’s what she used:
1. Diorskin Nude Liquid Foundation in #021
2. Diorskin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer in #001 (this is a must have! I bought it the second she made my terrible under eye circles disappear like magic!)
3. Forever Compact Powder in #023
4. Diorblush in #639
5. Rouge Dior Nude Lipstick in #319 and Lip Liner in #433 (also purchased this lipliner as I fell in love with the color)
The look that Violet created on me is the “Divine” mood look (check out details of the look here). You can also choose from other looks such as Sensuous, Feminine and Elegant.
What I loved the most about the Dior Dressy Nudes is that the look is dramatic without looking too “made up.” Plus, every single product that Violet put on my face went on like silk and felt so luxurious. I may not be Cindy or Christy or Linda, but for an hour in the Dior makeup chair, I felt like a supermodel!
What do you think of the look? Does it make you want to get naked too? Click here to schedule your own Dior Dressy Nudes makeover. The event runs through November 3rd, so book your appointment soon!
If you’re in the NYC area, stop by the Dior counter at Macy’s Herald Square and say hello to Violet or book an appointment with her at 212-494-2797.
